Music is the common ground that we all share in and it is a powerful force that can change the world we live in;

The Freeman is a multi media project dedicated to bringing great art in the forms of music, video, powerful imagery and the power of the written word to the world by addressing the important issues facing humanity. We consider ourselves to be true independent artists. We have complete control over every aspect of our music. As independent artists we have the freedom to say what we want without the constraints of the business of making a huge profit. Don't get me wrong we depend on our supporters in purchasing the music. This money allows us to continue to make great art. We encourage you to listen to the music any way you can but ask that if you like what you see and hear that you purchase the music. As you enjoy what we have created you will notice a constant theme. Open yourself up to what we have to say and above all question. Almost every problem in the world today can be linked back to a lie unless it is from the natural world. We are only looking for the truth not what we want to be the truth and I hope that you are as well. It is the truth that will surely set us all free not the lies. I am an Atheist. All this means is that I do not believe in any gods. It is not a religion. It is just a statement. The biggest lie is that presented by religions. We are challenging long held beliefs to open up respectful and peaceful communication. These beliefs have done more harm than good throughout history because they are based in lies. Lies lead to mistrust, mistrust leads to hate and hate leads to violence. The overall goal is peace but we must find peace within the truth. I believe that the majority of humanity wants peace so why do we continue to let the minority dictate the daily violence that engulfs our planet. We must stop. Enjoy the ride and we look forward to your help in making the world better for us all.

I offer 2 challenges to all of humanity. With your help over time we can build these ideas into a force that can change the world we live in for the better.

1. ONE DAY. One economists estimate to solve the problems of poverty and disease is 180 billion dollars. Each year the combines military cost of the world is 3 trillion dollars. I challenge all of humanity, each citizen, businesses and governments to donate their income for one day. Also for one day I ask that we all unite in this common goal and also have one day of complete peace. All humanity with a common goal. This would be a start towards something fantastic.
2. I challenge all religions to practice what you preach. If you preach peace in any form it cannot coexist with violence. I challenge all religions to work together with no excuses and put all of your assets and manpower towards solving the problems of poverty and disease. Lay down your violence and agendas that do not achieve this goal. "Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God." Matthew 19:24

We are just average people just like you but we have a strong desire to see the world we live in be better. We believe that humanity has not risen to the challenge of being the best we can be. We strongly believe we can rise to that challenge. As long as one person is living in poverty, or lives in fear or sees no hope we should not be satisfied as a species. We should always work to be the best we can possibly be. The only way that will ever happen is if we seek the truth.

Let this Be the Moment.

The moment that we have compassion, empathy and pride to be part of one race.

The moment the planet values us instead of despising us.

While there will always be a need for all types of music the medium has lost that power it once held to make you for just that one moment feel what the artist was feeling. To tell a story. Little Girl in Tanzania; One day while surfing the web I came across a story that stopped me in my tracks. I had to write a song about this disturbing issue. In November 2008 a 6 year old Albino girl was butchered to death for her body parts by the local witch doctor in Tanzania. This is an ongoing practise in some countries. It is believed that certain parts when mixed in potions will provide good luck in various forms. Religious superstition that causes damage. Million Miles Away; This song relates to how drug use has separated people from reality. While trying to escape from their life the truth will find them.

Twenty Years; I couldn't put out an album without writing a song dedicated to the one I love, the one who has been so supportive, loving and the best mother any child could ask for. This song is dedicated to my wife.. I hope that everyone has someone in their life who they feel they couldn't live without.

Big Foot the Atheist; What religion would a Big Foot be? This showcases the amazing musical talent that is Zack Currie. You won't find him bragging about this as he is humble to what he brings to this project but I will tell you his talents are well worth the listen.

Restitution; Imagine if everybody just stopped the lies. Imagine if Israel and Palestine for one minute just said Ok enough is enough let's just stop. We all get caught up in whatever it is we believe is right and this often leads to disastrous consequences. If 2 children were fighting you would listen to their side of the situation, get them to make up and tell them to just stop. Why is it so different for the rest of the world? We need to just stop hurting one another and put whatever excuse we have aside. There comes a point in every situation that you have to forget the past and just start fresh from there or it goes on forever. I say JUST STOP.

No One Knows My Name; while listening to CBC radio Raj Patel, an author was promoting his book Stuffed and Starved. He was telling a story about a farmer in India who produces food to be consumed abroad but did not have enough food to feed his family at the end of each year. Also how he had to borrow money to be able to get a well dug to continue farming (3 times and still no water). Many of these farmers find themselves in such a bad situation that they decide to take their lives by using the toxic chemicals they use for farming. This is not the only country this happens in. This is all so we can live our lives of luxury. The sad thing was that Raj didn't even have a name to give this particular farmer so he made one up.

JUST Human; We all have so much in common an yet we focus on our differences. We must find a way to unite and set aside those differences. After all the one thing we all have in common is that we are human beings.

Why can't You Love me; Highlighting the differences between us all is actually the idea we need to unite us. We must find a way to get past these differences in order for us to rise to our potential.

Wishful Thinking, Blood Money, No God part 5; Hope is just a Lie Away

This is the essence of the music. We must question religion and not accept things blindly. I perceive this to be the predominant problem in the world today. Again as long as we believe in lies we are doomed and for me the granddaddy of all lies is religion in all forms. You must question. You must have credible evidence and if you follow this the truth will prevail.
